A new print design I finally finished after about a month of fighting with it. Let me know what you think!
EDIT: Changed the buildings on the right side and brought the type into the piece a little more.
EDIT Squared: Did some more fiddling with the buildings and webs. Specifically, I tightened up the junctions of buildings & web lines, so there weren't anymore weird (to me) tangents. I also turned the Chrysler building a little more into the vanshing point.
I really love this piece. It's very graphic and grabs you in. The only critics I would have are 2. First, the type. I would re consider adding any type at all. The image really doesn't need it IMHO because it's striking enough. Usually type is added to explain the image but, this image doesn't need explanation. Let the viewer add his/her own imaginary type to it. Second, Spidey's web on the nose between the eyes needs a bit of fixing bellow. The top looks nice and neat but it kind of looses in the lower part. Oh, and this last one (sorry, I lied ), the building on the right side, the checker building, it's top line needs to be strengthened like the rest. But again, you get a standing ovation on this one!
God I love this! And your other artwork too. You have your own personal style what involves the old time flyers and todays modern art. Im really hooked now!!!
I really like it Dane, very fitting. It reminds me a bit of the new Batman movie poster with the broken glass looking bat symbol, but this screams retro and Amazing Spider-Man!
